Dr. Panjabrao Deshmukh Krishi Vidyapeeth offers 7 Subjects for UG admission whereas 7 PG courses are available for admission for the new academic session. PG holders can also apply for PHD admission in 3 Subjects.

A student may apply to the Maharashtra Council of Agricultural Education and Research (MCAER),Pune, for admission as a graduate, postgraduate, or doctoral student. Undergraduate (and B. Tech) programs are admitted based on the marks obtained in the last qualifying examination. A Common Entry Test (CET) will be administered by the Maharashtra Agricultural University Examination Board (MAUEB),Pune, for admission to the PG program. PG students are required to take the MTEC examination. Applicants are admitted to the PhD program based on their qualifications.

Admission to the B. Tech program is laid on the ratio obtained in the HSC in the required field. 15% of the all-out seats will be saved to be filled in from all Indian bases through Common Entrance Examination. The PhD program is offered under a bunch of specialization subjects. The most extreme span period for the PhD program is three years.

The joint passage test was led by the Board of Examinations of Maharashtra Agricultural Universities just like the passing PG degree. Specifically, for a B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering, aspirants must have studied Maths, Physics, Chemistry, and English as compulsory subjects at 10+2 level. For B.Sc in Horticulture/Agriculture/ Forestry, Class 12th with Medical subjects (PCB) is required for PDKV UG Admission 2023-24. As far as selection is concerned, it will depend on the individual colleges that come under PDKV university. Some of them prefer the entrance exam whereas merit is considered by the other colleges. For M.Sc, students must have earned an MSc degree in the related field in which they wish to study at PG level. For M.Tech aspirants with B.Tech are eligible to apply.

Selection to all the PG courses relies on the marks scored in the CET entrance exam.
