Tata Institute Of Fundamental Research Eligibility Criteria 

• Ph.D.: M.Sc. (Physics) / B.Tech. & B.E. (Engineering Physics) / B.E. / B.Tech/ M.Tech. or equivalent science/engineering/medical degree that requires four or more years of university training.
• Integrated M.Sc.-Ph.D.: B.Sc/ B.E./ B.Tech/ B.Pharm or equivalent science/engineering/medical degree / M.Sc. (other than physics)/ M.Tech/ M. Pharm/ MBBS or equivalent science/ engineering/ medical Masters degree.

In addition the candidate must have qualified in any of the following examinations:

• The written test of TIFR  / GATE / JEST / CSIR UGC NET (JRF eligible). Minimum valid score/rank will be announced nearer to the date of admissions in GATE / JEST / CSIR UGC NET
• Candidates with M.Tech. / M.E. / M.S. (Engg.) can submit their earlier scores of GATE / equivalent.

• If the candidate takes the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research Admission 2024 in Integrated PhD the candidate also has the  B.Sc./B.Pharm./B.S. degree or equivalent degree.
