Mumbai University Admission 2026-27: University of Mumbai has started the admission process for first-year UG fresher students academic year 2026-27. The last date to submit the registration form for Mumbai University admission would be 20 June 2026. Interested students can submit the application form online through the official website @mum.digitaluniversity.acStudents who want to enrol in any of the 13 departments created at the college can start filling out the application forms on the university’s official website.

Mumbai University was established in 1857. It is one of the oldest public state universities in India. The university has been ranked 71st by NIRF and 401–500th rank in Times Higher Education for the top universities in Asia.  It received a score of 3.65 out of 4.0 in NAAC and has been ranked A++. There are 13 departments at the university that offer over 200+ courses in various disciplines. According to the latest update, the university has provided affiliation to 711 colleges and has 5,49,000 students enrolled at the university. The university is making all the necessary changes to implement the NEP 2020 Guidelines. For the academic year of 2026-27, Mumbai University will be introducing a credit-based system for all the courses at multiple levels. It will also make it mandatory for the students to create their ABC ID on the Digilocker application.

The university offers admission to these programs on the basis of the applicant’s merit and their scores of a relevant entrance exam. The scores of GATE, CUET UG, CAT, MUCMET, etc., are accepted by the university. 

Mumbai University Application Forms 2026-27

  • You will be provided with login credentials at the email address provided by you.
  • Log into the admissions portal with the same credentials.
  • Now, start entering your personal and educational information, such as your date of birth, mother and father’s names, their occupations, your board of schooling, marks obtained by you, etc.
  • Upload all the required documents, such as your date of birth certificate, residential proof, ID proof, 10+@ mark sheet, etc.
  • Review all the information that you provided.
  • Pay the applicable fees of INR 500 for reserved categories and INR 1,000 for unreserved categories.
  • Submit your application form.
  • Take a screenshot of the page for future reference.

Mumbai University UG Admission 2026-27

There are over 50+ UG courses offered by the Mumbai University. Admission to these courses has begun now for the 2026-27 academic session. Those who have completed their 10+2 in a relevant stream are eligible for the UG programs at the university. Mumbai University BA Admission 2026-27

The BA program is offered by the Mumbai University in several specializations. Admission for the BA program at the university has started. The deadline for submitting the application forms is 20 June 2026*. The university offers a BA program in over 20 specializations; some of those specializations are Mass Communication, English, Psychology, Multimedia Mass Communication, etc. Admission to these programs is based on the merit of the students. Those who have completed their 10+2 from a recognized board are eligible for the BA program at any of the colleges affiliated with Mumbai University. 

Mumbai University PG Admission 2026-27

Several PG courses are provided at the Mumbai University through the university’s various departments. For the academic year of 2026-27, admission to all the PG courses will begin in June 2026. The last date for registration is 31 July 2026*. The university conducts MUCMET for offering admission to the MBA  program. Admission to other courses at the college, such as MTech, MA, MSc, MCom, etc., is provided on the basis of the student’s merit and their performance in a relevant entrance examination. Those who have completed their graduation in a relevant field are eligible for admission to PG programs at the college.

Mumbai University PhD Admission 2026-27

Several PhD programs are offered by the Mumbai University. Admission to the university’s PhD programs is expected to begin in the last week of July 2026. The last to register is 30 August 2026*. The PhD programs are offered in around 50 specializations, including Marathi, Business Economics, Hindi, English, Pharmaceutics, etc.

The university offers admission to these specializations of PhD on the basis of the student’s score in PET 2O24, which is conducted by the university. The scores of other relevant exams like UGC NET and NET JRF. Students who want to pursue a PhD in any specialization must have a master’s degree in a relevant field with an aggregate score of 55%.
