Several PhD programs are offered by the Mumbai University. Admission to the university’s PhD programs is expected to begin in the last week of September 2024*. The last to register will be 30 October 2025*. The PhD programs are offered in around 50 specializations, including Marathi, Business Economics, Hindi,  English, Pharmaceutics, etc.

The university offers admission to these specializations of PhD on the basis of the student’s score in PET 2O24, which is conducted by the university. The scores of other relevant exams like UGC NET and NET JRF. Students who want to pursue a PhD in any specialization must have a master’s degree in a relevant field with an aggregate score of 55%.
