Indira Gandhi National Open University admission portal is now open for the January 2024 session for IGNOU BSW Admission 2024 on its official web portal of the university at @ignou.ac.in. Candidates are required to complete the admission process before 31 March 2024 as per the official notification.

The university is currently accepting admissions for the IGNOU BSW program for the January 2024 session. The online application form is available on the official website. In some IGNOU Regional centers of IGOU, Only offline application forms can be collected. The application form fee is the same for Offline and online applicants.

IGNOU BSW Admission Process 2024-25 January Session

Step-1 Registration

1. First of all, Register yourself by creating the Username and Password through the Official website.

Step- 3 Uploading Documents

At the time of filling out the Application Form, the candidate should upload the scanned copy of the following documents-

Step- 5 Fee Submission 

1. Candidates can pay the application fee through a Debit card, Credit card, Net Banking, or ATM (PNB).
2. After successfully paying the fee, we must take out the printout of the application form for future reference.

Programme Structure For BSW

The BSW course is available in English and Hindi across the country. There is a credit system in the program structure for BSW in which one credit amounts to 30 hours. To complete the BSW program successfully, candidates must earn 96 credits, which takes around 3 to 6 years, according to your convenience.

The BSW program has three major components:

• Foundation Courses: 24 Credits
• Elective Courses: 48 Credits
• Field Work (Practicum): 24 Credits

IGNOU BSW Eligibility and Fees

IGNOU BSW fee is INR 18,600/- to complete the BSW programme. Candidates can pay a short-term fee of INR 6,200/- per year. Students who want admission to the Bachelor of Social Work must have completed the 12th grade or its equivalent with at least 50% marks from the recognized board.

IGNOU BSW Duration

The IGNOU Bachelor of Social Work duration is 3 to 6 years. The program is available in both English and Hindi. The minimum duration to complete the Bachelor of Social Work is 3 years, and students have the choice to take their exams. They can either attempt semester-based exams or yearly-basis exams.

IGNOU BSW Exam Form

IGNOU has released the IGNOU BSW Exam Form for the June 2024 TEE. Existing Candidates are suggested to complete all processes per the university website guidelines. Rs. 200/- is an examination fee per course while filling out the examination form. The last date to fill out the IGNOU BSW Examination Form will be 31 March 2024*.

The university takes an exam twice a year, once in December and again in June. Students who have enrolled for the January session need to take an exam in the June TEE, and second is the July session need to take an exam in the December TEE. IGNOU has officially released the BSW assignment for the  June TEE.
