The selection of MSC and MA courses in many fields is done only via counselling. The admissions in MSC/MA in mathematics and statistics are followed further by counselling and entrance examinations.

M.Sc is a postgraduate level course with a duration of 2 years. This course is about the specialization in Statistics and Botany; during this course, students will learn detailed information about Botany and statistics. The essential eligibility criteria required to pursue this course are that students have a bachelor's degree in the B.Sc program with at least 50% of marks from a recognized university or equivalent. Cotton University offers admission to the PG-level course Master of Arts (MA) for the academic session 2024-25. MA admission is done based on the Entrance examination 2024. The Eligibility criteria for Cotton University PhD admission candidates must complete a Master’s degree from a UGC-recognized University with at least 55% aggregate marks. Cotton University PhD admission selection procedure, Selections will be via a Written Entrance Test followed by Viva-voice to be held separately for each Department/Discipline. The minimum qualifying marks in the Entrance Test are fixed at 50% as per UGC guidelines.

The minimum qualifying mark for candidates belonging to categories mentioned in (ii) above will be 45%. For the final selection of candidates, a weightage of 70% for the entrance test and 30% for the performance in the interview/viva voce shall be given.

Application for admission to HS 1st year in Cotton University must be submitted ONLINE through the ‘DARPAN’ portal of Assam Higher Secondary Education Council (website: https://darpan.ahseconline.in/login.) No other form of application shall be accepted by the University. 2. Students having secured ‘confirmed’ admission to Cotton University through the ‘DARPAN’ portal will have to subsequently register themselves through the Cotton University website and pay the requisite fees to be enrolled as a bonafide Higher Secondary student of Cotton University 3.
