Assam Science and Technology University Admission 2025-26 is ongoing for PhD programmes in various specializations such as Biology, Chemistry, Engineering Botany and many others. ASTU UG Admission 2025-26 shall start in July for tech., & eng., science, design, pharmacy, etc., faculties. The university allows admission to BTECH, BCA, BSC Applied Physics, BSC Computer Science, BSC Zoology, BSC Chemistry, BPHARM, BARCH, B DESIGN, and more. 

The university holds entrance tests for admission in BTECH-driven programs. Hence students are needed to appear in JLEE before assuring admission. The last date to complete online registration is 2nd August 2025. Students can earn admission to BTECH by securing a rank in the JEE Mains or JEE Advanced.

Assam Science and Technology University PG Admission 

ASTU Admission 2025 PG shall begin in July. The last date to complete registration will be 17th September 2025(tentative). Admission links will be activated online for MTECH, MCA, MSC Applied Sciences, MPHARM, MBA, MARCH, MPLANNING, etc. Students can earn admission after passing entrance tests followed by ASTU counseling. The university conducts JMEE entrance tests for students enrolling in MCA-driven programs.

Assam Science and Technology University MBA admission will be offered to students who have secured a rank in either CAT, MAT, XAT, or CMAT. Here students can easily earn the MTECH admission after getting a valid score in GATE.

Assam Science and Technology University PhD Admission 

Assam Technical University Guwahati PhD Admission 2025-26 will begin on 30 October 2025(tentative). PhD applications will be accepted online only. Assam Science and Technology University Admission: Eligibility Criteria 

• For UG Courses students have to pass 12th with a minimum of 50% marks from reputed Boards.
• For PG Courses students have to pass and graduate with a minimum of 50% marks from a reputed university/College.

Eligibility Criteria for ASTU PhD Admission

1. Students must secure the minimum percentage of educational qualification prescribed for eligibility as in Under Graduate, and Post Graduate be 70% (69.5 % and above) for General/OBC candidates; in the absence of percentage, the candidate must have secured a minimum CGPA of 7.5 on the scale of 10 or equivalent at Bachelors and Masters. The candidate should have qualified for GATE/ NET during the last 5 years.
2. The candidate should be less than 30 years of age as of admission to the respective University. However, an age relaxation of 5 years would be applicable to candidates belonging to SC/ ST/Women/Physically challenged category.

ASTU Entrance Exam

JEE MAIN entrance test is required for the proceeding of the admission process. 20 October 2025 is the JEE Main entrance exam date for the session 2025-26. The capable candidates can check their eligibility status and then apply for admission in any of the above fields. The criteria that the university is going to set for admissions are 50% minimum marks in the previous degree.
