Sastra University Admission 2026-27: The Sastra University has started the admission procedure for several engineering courses. Students who are willing to take admission at this university in the current academic cycle of 2026-27 can start registering themselves at the admission portal of the university. The university accepts the students’ application forms based on their scores of JEE and CUET UG/PG. There is an application fee of INR 800. 

SASTRA University is also known as the Shanmugha Arts, Science, Technology & Research Academy. The university is located in Tamil Nadu, India, and was established in 1984. This is a private university and the first deemed university in Tamilnadu. It provides 30% of its seats to those students who belong outside of Tamilnadu and the rest 70% seats for their state students.

Sastra University Admission 2026-27

Sastra Admission online portal has opened for various courses such as BBA, MCA, MBA, BCA, BCom, and other programmes for the session 2026-27. Candidates can check www.sastra.edu for the further process. The university provides undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) courses for the next session. If candidates fail to submit the application form on time, and the window gets closed for online acceptance, the students can go for offline mode offered by the university.

Sastra University grants admission in either entrance or no-entrance mode. The students “who have been shortlisted by the university” will be asked to appear in an interview and counselling session.Those who can complete the procedure accurately with eligibility true to the academic history” will be offered a seat at Sastra University.

Sastra University UG admission offers admission to BTECH Aerospace Engineering, B.Tech Bioinformatics, B.Tech Biotechnology, B OPTOM, BFA, B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc, B.Sc Physics, and BSC Biochemistry with DMLT etc. UG degree programs will be admitted to the university based on the results of entrance exams and qualifying exams.

After passing 10+2 or equivalent from a state, or central board of India, the students make themselves eligible to either appear in an entrance or get direct admission in the non-entrance programme. The Entrance test like JEE MAINS is conducted for admission in B.Tech-driven programmes. However, CLAT is being organized for five-year LAW integrated degree admission.

SASTRA University B.Tech Admission 2026

Sastra University offers many undergraduate courses and B.tech is one of them, it is a 4-year undergraduate degree with 8 semesters. Any candidate who is interested in taking admission for the next session needs to fill out the form available on the university website. The basic eligibility for appearing in the course is students need to have completed 10+2 from a recognized board with a minimum of 50% marks.

SU PG admission has started for MCA and MBA degree courses. The last date to complete registration for Sastra Univesity PG is 10 May 2026. Admission to SASTRA for PG programmes is to be offered upon passing a three-year UG degree from Sastra, or any other approved university of India. 

A few professional degree programs like M.Tech, MBA, and MCA will have relied on entrance tests of the university. However, GATE, CAT, XAT, MAT, and CMAT qualified can ignore university entrance for admission. Still, candidates are required to score 50% minimum in UG to create the possibility of admission in M.Tech, and MBA.

The application fee for BTECH/MTECH is INR 650. Students applying for traditional degree programmes, such as BSC and BCOM, must deposit INR 350. Students can pay their fees online or by check made payable to Sastra University.

Sastra University Admission 2026 Eligibility Criteria 

1. If the candidate takes the Sastra University Admission 2026 in B.Tech, the candidate must be required to pass the 12th class passing marks sheet with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
2. Suppose the candidate is admitted to M.Tech. Then-candidate must be required for the B.Tech degree in the relevant subject. 
3. If the candidate is admitted to any graduate program, a 12th mark sheet is required from a recognized board. If the candidate is admitted to postgraduation, the candidate must be required to graduate from a recognized university.

The admission depends on the merit of the last qualifying exam. But if the candidate takes admitted to B.Tech, then the admission depends on the JEE Main exam. For the Sastra University Admission 2026 in M.Tech, the admission depends on the GATE exam, and the admission in Law course admission depends on the CLAT exam.
