JNU Admission 2026-27
29 June 2026* is the last date to apply for JNU UG and PG courses admission for the 2026-27 academic session. The University offers admission to various courses such as BA, BBA, BCA, BCom, BTech, MA, MCom, MTech, MBA, MCA, etc. The applicants can submit the registration form on the official website. JNU admission 2026 is based on the CUET and other national-level entrance test scores. Students have to fulfill the required criteria for pursuing these offered degree programmes at the university.
JNU Admission 2026-27 for the PG programmes will be done based on the merit list considering the marks scored by the candidates in the CUET PG 2026 entrance examination. Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE) is canceled now, and JNU Admission 2026-27 is confirmed only after checking the scores of CUET 2026. JNU UG Admission 2026-27
Jawaharlal Nehru University UG Admission has commenced through the NTA CUET UG entrance exam. The last date to apply for JNU UG Admission 2026-27 was 05 April 2026 through the entrance exam at the NTA official website. Students who have appeared in the CUET UG exams and secured good marks can submit their application for UG admissions at JNU for the academic session 2026-27. JNU Entrance exam will be conducted from 15 May to 31 May 2026 by the NTA.
It has Bachelor of Arts (BA) programs only in foreign languages like German, Spanish, Persian, French, Chinese, and many others. The total duration of the program is 4 years. To take on any BA discipline, aspirants must have passed Class 12th with a minimum of 60% marks from a well-known board. Apart from the eligibility criteria of the desired program, students have to appear for the JNU entrance exam. The JNUEE Entrance test will not be held this year. Only those students who have qualified for the CUET test can be invited for counselling.
JNU PG Admission 2026-27
JNU PG Admission 2026-27 last date is 29 June 2026. JNU offers admission to MBA, MCA, M.Tech, and other postgraduate-level degree programme for the current academic session. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened the registration portal for the CUET PG entrance exam for the 2026-27 academic session. Students can go to the NTA-authorized web portal for the further process of filling out the form.
JNU Admission 2026-27 accepts even different entrance exams for selection purposes. For M.Sc, NET-JET scores are taken into account. JNU PG Entrance Exam will be conducted from 11 March 2026 to 28 March 2026 by NTA as the admission is based on the CUET scores only. Merit shall be drawn based on the higher marks secured in the CBT conducted by NTA. Further, merit shall be drawn according to the marks obtained in the qualifying Graduate degree.
JNU MBA Admission 2026
Jawaharlal Nehru University offers admission to the MBA degree programme based on the marks scored in the CAT (Common Admission Test) entrance examination. Candidates who have appeared for the CAT entrance examination and are willing to opt for admission to the MBA programme offered by JNU can register themselves by submitting the registration form made available on the official website of the university at jnuee.jnu.ac.in. MBA admission is to be determined by the CAT percentile, and then the previous qualifying marks of the candidates. JNU offers admission to the Master of Arts (MA) course for the academic session 2026-27. The duration of this course is 2 years. Students who have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 50% marks from any recognized university can register for the JNU CUET PG entrance test. JNU MA admission 2026 is completely based on the CUET exam score. Students who obtained a valid score on the entrance test are eligible to be admitted to this postgraduate-level course. JNU Admission 2026-27 Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible to apply for JNU admission 2026-27, Students must have fulfilled the required eligibility criteria for various UG, PG, and PhD level degree programmes. Students must have passed the senior secondary school (10+2) test or an exam with a similar grade from a reputable university or board. Candidates must obtain at least 45% marks overall in the qualifying test to meet the JNU eligibility requirements. One can check the required details which are mentioned below:
For JNU BA (Hon) Admission:- Students have to secure a minimum of (10+2) or equivalent examination with a minimum of 45% marks.
For JNU MA in Politics Admission:- Students have to secure a bachelor's degree in politics hon with 50% marks.
For JNU MA Economics Admission:- Students have to secure a 10+2+3 education pattern securing at least 50% marks aggregate is also eligible.
Admission JNU B Tech Admission:
(a) Students will be admitted after 10+2 schooling on the basis of JEE Main ranking through CSAB/ JoSAA.
(b) 15% supernumerary seats for foreign nationals at the entry-level of the dual degree (B. Tech + M. Tech/M.S.) program as per the DASA Scheme of MHRD.
For JNU PhD Admission: The candidates are invited for the CBT examination and candidates qualifying in the CBT examination shall be called for the viva-voce Examination. Qualifying marks for the candidate belonging to the General Category and EWS category is 50%. Whereas, qualifying marks for the candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC, and PWD categories is 45%. It is to be noted that a candidate who scores 50% and above for the General Category and EWS category & 45% and above for SC/ST/OBC(non-creamy layer)/PWD in the computer-based test, does not automatically qualify for being shortlisted for the viva-voce.
No Candidate shall be eligible to register himself/herself for a full-time programme of study if he/she is already registered for any full-time programme of study in this University or any other University/Institution. In service, candidature may kindly refer to the JNU Admission 2026 Policy of the University available on the JNU website.
For JNU. M.Sc. in Biotechnology Admission: Bachelor’s degree under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Physical, Biological (Biochemistry/ Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/ Botany/ Microbiology/Zoology),Agricultural, Veterinary and Fishery Sciences, Pharmacy, Engineering/Technology, 4-year B.Sc. (Physician Assistant Course); MBBS/ B.D.S with at least 55% marks.
JNU Entrance Exam 2026
Jawaharlal Nehru University Admission 2026-27 is based on the various Entrance exams for the undergraduate (UG),postgraduate (PG),and PhD level degree programmes. The university considered the valid score of CUET UG, CUET PG, CAT, CMAT, GATE, JRF-NET, and other entrance tests to complete the JNU admission 2026-27 process. JNU Entrance Exam 2026 will be based on a Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. Currently, NTA has started the JNU UG Entrance test, and the deadline to register was 05 April 2026. The exam will be conducted from 15 May to 31 May 2026.

JNU Admission 2026-27 for the Postgraduates (PG) courses is done through the Common Univeristy Entrance Test (CUET PG) by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The registration portal is open by the official. Students can fill out the JNU PG Entrance Exam form for session 2026-27 till 10 February 2026 by visiting the official website of NTA. The CUET PG Entrance exam will be held from 11 March 2026 to 28 March 2026. Students can download the CUET PG Admit Card on 07 March 2026 from NTA official website. The University offers the following one-year programme of study:

JNU Admission 2026 to the above programmes is made based on the following criteria:
A) Admission to advanced Diploma (ADOP) in Mass Media in Urdu and Certificate of Proficiency (COP) in Mongolian, Pashto, Uzbek, Bhasha Indonesia, Urdu, Hebrew, Pali, Sanskrit Computational Linguistics programmes, Sanskrit, Yoga Philosophy, and Indian Culture are made on the basis of the performance of candidates in CBT examinations.
B) JNU Admissions 2026 to Diploma of Proficiency (DOP) in Bhasha Indonesia, Hebrew, and Mongolian shall be based on merit as per the performance in the Certificate of Proficiency in respective languages.
