Admission to this university is based on the entrance exam. This entrance exam is conducted at the state level as well as the national level. This entrance exam is known as the Aliah University Admission Test (AUAT).

If the candidate wants to take admission in B.Ed. than candidate required 60% marks in entrance exam and 40% marks in academic education. In B.tech admission, the university provides 10% seats to those candidates who qualified for the WBJEE examinations.

If the candidate takes admission in Ph.D. then the candidate required a master's degree from a recognized board in several streams. After the entrance exam, the university called the qualifying students for counseling.

The finalization of the admission depends on the counseling. The university allowed the seat to the students and the candidate needs to submit all required documents at the counseling time.
