WBUTTEPA (The West Bengal University of Teachers’ Training) University is established on 16th January 2015 in Kolkata under the Education Planning and Administration Act, 2014. Professor Dr. Mita Banerjee is the first Vice-Chancellor. WBUTTEPA University provides teachers with level programs courses. Interested candidate applies for the M.phil, B.Ed and M.Ed courses. 

WBUTTEPA University is Affiliated with the University Grants Commission(UGC) and is Located in the State of West Bengal. For admission, the candidate needs to visit the university website and submit their application form. For admission in B.Ed, the candidate required a graduation degree with 55% marks forms a well-known university. For admission in M.Ed, the candidate required the Graduation and B.Ed in relevant subject from a recognized university with 55% marks.

West Bengal University of Teachers was established in 2015 and recognized by the  University Grants Commission (UGC),National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) and the type of university is the state university. This university is the first training teacher's university in India. West Bengal University of Teachers has 200 affiliated colleges in India of Teacher training and education. University is located on 2.7 Acres. West Bengal University of Health Sciences (WBUHS) has been set up by an Act of the West Bengal Legislative Assembly in the year 2003 for better management of the health and medical education related courses which were so far taught separately by the University of Calcutta, and the Universities of Burdwan and North Bengal.
