Kalyani University Distance Education Admission 2026-27: In 1960, Kalyani University was founded to provide a high and good level of education for the students. Since then, the university has been working towards building the best administration and faculty members. For the students who want to continue their education from the distance learning mode, the university has started the Directorate of Open & Distance Learning (DODL) at the PG level.

Distance Learning(DODL) Kalyani University Key Facts
- Enrollment of students has been increasing under distance courses to increase GER in Higher Education in West Bengal and India.

dodl.klyuniv.ac.in Admission 2026-27
Kalyani University distance education has been conducting eight PG courses under the Directorate of Open & Distance Learning compliance with UGC-DEB Regulation, 2017. The syllabus of all the postgraduate courses is similar to the regular department syllabus of the university. Admission process in distance courses of the university and payments take place only through online mode. The university authority has increased the number of study Centers to 25 colleges within the jurisdiction of the University of Kalyani and the main campus.
As per the UGC approval, since 2018-19, eight Departments have been running under the Kalyani University distance education. The university has been offering PG courses in eight subjects’ semesters wise. Candidates should have at least a graduation degree for admission in PG courses. Students have to study for two years for the completion of the course. All the courses will be based on 4 semesters.

Kalyani University Distance PG Admission
Kalyani university distance education provides admission to the candidates interested in pursuing PG level courses from the Distance Learning mode. This course offers the option for the students to continue their education while doing a regular job or any other education program with the regular mode as this in this course there are no regular kind-off classes, and the students are not required to visit an educational institution or campus. For Kalyani University Distance Education PG admission, the students must fulfil the minimum eligibility criteria announced by the university.

A candidate with an MA subject is eligible to get admission in MA in any other subject (other than MA in Education) offered through Distance Education Mode irrespective of whether or not he/her offered that subject at the degree stage. But the candidates with MA in any professional subject like Music, Drama, Flim Studies, Physical Education (M.P.Ed),General Education (M.Ed.),etc., will not be eligible to avail of the provision.

Rules and Regulations & Examination Process
Those students will be awarded M.A. / M.Sc. degree who would complete a total of 64 credits in (4 semesters) in the minimum duration of two years and a maximum of five years.
Evaluation process
The evaluation process will have two parts. First semester-end evaluation and the other would-be internal assessment. 20% weightage will be given to internal assessment, and the remaining 80% will depend on semester-end evaluation.
