Tilak Maharashtra Vidyapeeth Distance Education: TLV University DE was established in 1921.DE began in 1985 with the creation of the FDE. In Sanskrit, Ayurveda, and social sciences, there is much research work done at this institution. The FDE only gave BA (Visharad) in Social Sciences in one course until 2000. The DEB-UGC approves the University. The Faculty of DE offers different courses, including BA & MA in Languages, BA & MA in Sociology BA, and B.Com & M.Com. It also offers new modern programs like BBA, MBA, BCA, and MCA to its student.

It also provides the Certificate, PG Diploma, and Diploma Courses. The University got DEC Programme-wise Regular Recognition from 2011-12 for providing B.A, B.Com, M.Com, M.A and Diploma program through Distance Education. It has been started distance education in 1985.
