Nalanda Open University Distance Education: The NOU is an Open University in Patna, Bihar. It was founded in 1987. And it is recognized by the UGC. Diplomas in computer application, commerce, art, management, sciences, journalism and mass communication, educational and library, and information science are offered to the students. University provides the Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma and Research level courses namely BBA, BCA, B.Sc., B.Com, B.Ed., B.Lis., B.A. (Hons.),MJMC, MCA, M.Lis., M.A., M.Sc., M.Com., P.G. Diploma and PhD program.

For U.G. courses, Applicants must pass the 10+2 examination from the recognized Board. In different courses, there are different eligibility requirements for B.Ed. Courses candidate should have a Graduation degree with 45% marks and must have 2 years of teaching experience. If the candidate wants to apply for the PhD program, the candidate must have a Master's Degree or M.Phil Degree with 55% marks. University also conducts an Entrance exam for Admission to PhD. Without the admit card, You will not be permitted to attend the examination.
