Established in 1972, the university initially functioned from the Mohanpur House at Sara Mohanpur village of Darbhanga–Sakri route. More than 400 faculties are engaged in teaching and research. The institute has a residential campus of about 230 acres.

• LNMU Admission for UG. the candidate should have too passed in 12th of the revenant subject of any recognized university candidate eligible to apply for the admission of UG. for MBBS the candidate must have appeared in NEET examination test. Exam conduct by the CBSE. merit list should be the prepared basis of performance in the last qualifying examination test.
• LNMU Admission for PG. the candidate should have complete in bachelor's degree in the relevant subject of any recognized university candidate eligible to apply for the admission of PG.
