Placement

Gauhati University's placement service for the students in a collective and organized way have started recently but have earned success. The university is now gearing up to extend placement to all the students and departments in the campus.  

Some organization where university's students got the placement like as- Xcome Technology, Taipei, Taiwan-Start Technologies, Taiwan-Versine Technologies, Kolkata- CDAC, Bangalore; Maharastra Knowledge Corporation Ltd-Web Tech India, Bangalore- AMTRON, Guwahati-Wipro Systems, NIIT Bangalore-Maverik Systems, Chennai, ICICI Bank, F.C.I, CID(Assam)etc. Besides students passed out from this department are now engaged in teaching positions in various educational institutions within and outside the state of Assam.

Gauhati University has active placement cell and many companies are actively associated with the Gauhati University. There every year companies come for campus placement. The package depends upon the job offers.  Wipro offered five lakh per annum, Coca-cola offered four to five lakh per annum, TISCO offered five lakh fifty thousand per annum and ONGC offered six lakh per annum.

In this university placement and training, the cell is so good, trained students provide placement even after passing. Companies like WIPRO and Information technology-based companies visited.  The Students hired were offered work as trainee followed by regular staff work, some were offered regular engineer position. the placement selection mostly depends on the student's marks, knowledge, and activities.
