HJCE Mumbai Admission: The Hansraj Jivandas College of Education (HJCE) was established in 1969 by the Gujarat Research Society under the leadership of Dr. Madhuri Shah, a renowned educationist and Padma Shri awardee. Her vision was to help individuals discover their potential, and with support from leaders like Smt. Kallolini Hazarat, HJCE, became one of India’s top teacher training colleges. The Gujarat Research Society, founded in 1936, has contributed greatly to education and welfare through its various institutions, including schools, health centers, and cultural programs. HJCE offers a two-year B.Ed. program and a one-year Diploma in Early Childhood Care, focusing on modern teaching methods, creativity, and technology. It is recognized as an excellent institution, ranked 46th in India and 16th in Maharashtra for 2024-25.

To get into HJCE, students must pass a government entrance test, with half the seats reserved for Gujarati-speaking students and the rest open to all. The college is affiliated with the University of Mumbai, supported by the State Government, and has been awarded an ‘A+’ grade by NAAC.
