Tumkur University was established in 2004 in Tumkur, Karnataka, India. It was carved out of Bangalore University to accommodate the needs of the students from the Tumkur district.
Founded in 2004, Tumkur University is one of the youngest universities in the country and is recognized as one of the country's most renowned higher education institutions. It is a state university and is established to meet the educational needs of the majority of students from rural backgrounds.
