Mysore University Admission procedure

Admission to the Mysore University is totally based upon the marks secured by the students in the entrance examination conducted by the Mysore university itself.

• Entrance exam conducted by the university for admission to all PG courses.
• MCA, MBA, and M.Tech admission are purely based upon the marks secured by the candidates in the entrance exam conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority.
• The candidate will be selected based on their academic record and entrance test score in a 50:50 ratio.
• After the entrance exam, a merit list will be released, following which the selected candidates will have to approach the concerned university departments to complete the admission process.
• Now the interested candidate can apply to the course of their choice by fulfilling an online form available on the official website of the university.
• To be able to access the Mysore University admission application form, a login ID is to be created. Only online application forms will be accepted
• Candidates can apply for more than one course through one form only but they will have to pay the application fee for each subject separately.

Facilities in the Mysore university

Hostel - There is a separate hostel for girls and boys at an affordable price. There are several PGs available outside the campus at a reasonable price.

Canteen -  The college has a canteen. The food and costs are decent enough.

Classrooms - Classrooms are spacious.

Library -There's a huge library which has lakhs of books. One can find almost any book in the library.

Mysore University  Scholarship

Mysore University provides several scholarships for the students. University Grant Commissions Junior Research Fellowship(UGC) and Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship for SC/ST candidates. UGC Maulana Fellowship for OBC.OBC will be getting scholarships free in a hostel and very much less fee/no examination fee but General Students will not provides any major scholarships. The University also provides the scholarship for meritorious students and those whose parent income is too less or not able to expanse to get a higher education.

Scholarship

The scholarship facility is also available in the university. The scholarship is given by the state and the central government. A single female child will get a scholarship based on the Indira Gandhi fellowship.

Placement in Mysore University is average. For the placement, the candidate should have a minimum of 75% marks in the entrance exam. The candidate needs to clear the placement process these are the written test, interview, HR round, Group discussion, etc.

Mysore university provides placement facilities to the students. Every year Mysore university provides various opportunities for students. Around 50% of the students get placed. The highest salary package offered was 7 LPA, and the lowest was 2.50 LPA.

The companies that visited the college for placements were Mercedes, Infosys, and Wipro. Around 40% of the students got internships. Companies like Wipro and some others visit the campus to recruit BCA and B.Sc students.
