The university's Institute of Distance Education currently offers programmes in undergraduate, graduate, diploma, and certificate levels. The courses are divided into Science, Humanities, Management, and others. Admission to BA, BSc, BBA, BCA and other UG programmes requires a 10+2 diploma from a recognised board. The university's selection process should be followed an Entrance Test for admission, and those who pass the test will secure a position.

Candidate may enroll in a PG course in MBA MCA (Lateral). They are recognized by IDE. Graduates in related fields are eligible to enroll. Madras University Distance Education UG Admission 2026-27

IDE conducts various Undergraduate courses like B.A, B.Sc, B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Lit. The duration of these courses would be of 3 years. 10+2 is the minimum eligibility requirement for such courses.

• Applicants should go to the university's Website.
• Candidates have to register themselves through the admission portal.
