Madras University Admission 2024-25: The University of Madras is a public state university in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. Established in 1857, it is one of the oldest and premier universities in India. The university was incorporated by an act of the Legislative Council of India. Madras University has Six Campuses in the City viz. Chetpet, Maduravoyal, Taramani, Guindy, Marina, Chepauk. Admission will be done through the Entrance exam which is TANCET. University also has 18 Schools and 109 Affiliated Colleges.

Madras University is the oldest university in India. It was established in 1857 and is located in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.  Chetpet, Chepauk, Taramani, Guindy, Maduravoyal, and Marina are six city campus which has Madras University. In this University admission is through only an entrance exam namely TANCET. It provides various courses like undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctorate level courses, research courses, Diploma courses, and certificate programs. For admission in PG courses (MBA, MCA, M.Arch, M.E), candidates need to be shortlisted in the TANCET exam. 50% marks are relevant for the Bachelor’s degree is the minimum eligibility for TANCET. Candidates, who are Qualified in the TANCET exams are selected for counselling. For Registration, the candidate has to pay a fee of 100 INR.
