Birla Institute of Technology and Science contact companies about two months ahead of the placement schedule. The companies provide necessary data through a job announcement form. They fix a mutually convenient date and time for the presentation and selection process.

The institute asks eligible students who are interested in the job to apply for the job a week before the visit. For the placement students, sigh offers a letter and a copy forwarded to a company.

Birla Institute of Technology and Science campuses schedule two placement seasons every year. Students work in the industry for one of the two semesters in their final year as part of the Practice School programme and are available only part of the time on campus.

Placements are great every year with about 70-80% of students getting placed. The average package is around 8-9lpa but it also depends on the branch and companies. Big companies like Amazon, Flipkart, L&T come for placements, almost every student gets an opportunity to sit for the placements.
