Sambalpur University Distance Education: SU is located in western Odisha in the city of Burla. The OLA was established in 1966. The establishment by PEC private education the cell of the DED. The department began in 1998 with the only courses on the campus as PG. Sambalpur University  DE course launching BCA, PGDIT, PGDCA courses was launched in 2000. In 2003 there were also MCA and DCA courses at the SU, and now there is also a full-time MBA course

SU was established in the year 1966. It was established under the act of Sambalpur University in the Odisha Legislature. It is located in the Jyoti Vihar, Burla, Sambalpur. University is recognized by the UGC and approved by DDCE (Directorate of Distance and Continuing Education).
