STASC Tamilnadu Admission: St. Thomas College of Arts and Science was started in 1999 as a co-education college for both boys and girls. It is managed by the St. Thomas Orthodox Syrian Cathedral Parish Trust, connected to the St. Thomas Orthodox Cathedral in Broadway. The college is blessed by its Patron, His Holiness Baselios Marthoma Mathews III, the head of the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church. The college was founded by His Grace Dr. Yakoob Mar Irenios, and the current Chairman is His Grace Gee Varghese Mar Philaxenos, the Metropolitan of the Madras Diocese.
