SIES College of Economics, Admission: SIES Arts, Science, and Commerce College was started on June 20, 1960, by Maharashtra’s first Chief Minister, Shri Y. B. Chavan, to provide education to students from North and Central Mumbai suburbs. It was a gift from the South Indian community in Mumbai to the newly formed state of Maharashtra. The college added a Commerce course in 1980–81 and is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. With over 4,000 students from different backgrounds, it has earned a great reputation because of its students’ excellent results, awards, and top rankings in exams. This success comes from the hard work of many dedicated principals and teachers over the years.
