S.B. Deorah College | SBDC | Admission: S. B. Deorah College in Guwahati began in 1984 as Ulubari College, starting with 75 students in a high school building. Founded by local leaders wanting better education, it moved to its own small campus in 1987 and became a degree college. In 1989, a trust built a bigger two-story building, leading to its rename in honor of Sreenivas Basudev Deorah. Affiliated with Gauhati University and funded by the Assam government since 1996, it earned UGC recognition in 2005 for quality education. Over 35 years, the college has grown into a respected institution, helping students become confident, skilled, and responsible citizens through dedicated teachers and strong support.
