RCCIIT, Kolkata, Admission: The RCC Institute of Information Technology (RCCIIT) was started in 1999 by the old Regional Computer Centre (RCC) in Kolkata, which was part of Jadavpur University (JU). It was created as a team effort between the National Informatics Centre (NIC),India’s Ministry of Communication and Information Technology, and West Bengal’s Department of Higher Education. In 2003, the responsibility of managing RCCIIT was passed from the Indian government to the West Bengal state government.
