Raath Mahavidyalaya, Admission: Rath Mahavidyalaya was started in 2003 in Paithani, a town in Pauri Garhwal district, Uttarakhand. It is located on the banks of the Western Nayar River, about 50 km east of Pauri. This area has long faced problems like illiteracy and lack of development. Even after India's independence, poor education kept the region behind. Though primary and secondary schools improved a little over time, higher education remained out of reach for most young people. Shri Ganesh Godiyal, a local youth working as a businessman in Mumbai, wanted to change this. He worked with local leaders, educated citizens, and villagers who donated land, to build the college and help the youth get better education.
