Deva Nagri College Admission: Pt. Gauri Dutt Sharma, a strong supporter of India's freedom, started a small school called Deva Nagri School in 1882 to teach and spread the Hindi language. The school grew over time and became a high school in 1921 and an intermediate school in 1939. During the freedom movement, this school became an important center of activity. Known for its good teaching and discipline, the Deva Nagri Shiksha Samiti, led by Pt. Prayag Dutt Sharma and Seth Sharda Prasad, decided to start college classes in 1958. Shri K.D. Agarwal became the first Principal of Deva Nagri Degree College.
