The College of Commerce, Arts and Science (COCAS): COCAS College of Commerce Arts and Science, is one of the oldest college of Patna. COCAS, also known as College of Commerce, Arts & Science, Patna, is an integral part of Patliputra University. A grade of 'A' was awarded by NAAC to the university. It was started in 1949. It is a Government College. COCAS Courses offered are for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, Diploma and Certificate, and they include BA, MA, BSc, MSc, BCom, MCom, and BSc(Hons). There is a lot of greenery around campus. To be eligible for admission, candidates must be honours graduates in any field with at least 45% grades in aggregate. Cutoff marks are released by COCAS Patna based on the results of the entrance exam.

COCAS College conducts an Entrance exam for admissions to its majority of courses like BA, BCom, BSc, BBM, MA, MBA, MSc and MLis. After the entrance test, The admission process is followed by a Merit list based on the test scores of the candidates. The college conducts the entrance test by itself. To apply to the College for the bachelor's courses, candidates must passed class 12th from a recognized board with a minimum of 45%.
