Bangabasi Evening College Admission: Bangabasi College, started in 1887 by Acharya Girish Chandra Bose, is a renowned educational institution inspired by Pandit Ishwar Chandra Vidyasagar. It began as an extension of Bangabasi School and aimed to provide higher education while fostering nationalism during British rule. Over the years, it introduced new courses, moved to its current location in 1930, and became known for its excellent Arts and Science faculties. After India’s independence, it expanded further, eventually splitting into separate colleges like Bangabasi Morning College and Bangabasi College of Commerce. In 1979, it became co-educational and later added Post Graduate studies in Zoology in 2005. The college celebrated its 100th anniversary in 1987, honoring its rich legacy of excellence and producing many notable alumni who have contributed to society.
