Satyawati Evening College, Admission: Satyawati College, established in 1972 by the Government of Delhi, is a part of the University of Delhi. It is named after Satyawati Devi, a brave freedom fighter and granddaughter of Swami Shraddhanand. Known as "Toofani Behen" (Stormy Sister) by Mahatma Gandhi for her strong spirit, she worked closely with leaders like Jawaharlal Nehru and Sarojini Naidu. She dedicated her life to fighting poverty, ignorance, and communalism, and inspired many women to join the Civil Disobedience Movement. Her courage and commitment continue to inspire the college’s values today.
