Badruka College Admission: In 1950, two people, Raja Bankatlal Badruka and Sri Pannalal Pittie, came up with the idea of starting a Commerce college where classes would be taught in Hindi. However, Nawab Ali Yawar Jung Bahadurji, who was the Vice-Chancellor of Osmania University at that time, liked the idea but suggested that the college should teach in English or Urdu instead. He also proposed that they needed an endowment fund of Rs. 2.5 lakhs to start the college.
Raja Bankatlalji, known for his generous nature, immediately donated the required money. With this support, permission was granted to start the college, which would also have an Intermediate Section, and it would teach in English. On August 2, 1950, the first college dedicated to Commerce students was established. The inauguration ceremony was attended by a well-known personality, Sri M. K. Vellodi, ICS, who was the Chancellor of Osmania University at the time.
