AP Sen Memorial Girls Admission:  A.P. Sen Memorial Girls College was established in 1902 as Mahakali Pathshala to educate Bengali girls in their own language. Initially called Harimati Balika Vidyalaya, it became Jubilee Girls School in 1933 when it received temporary recognition for High School and Intermediate levels. With support from important people like L.M. Jopling and M.F.A. Richardson, it became a permanent High School in 1944, an Inter College in 1947, and a Degree College in 1955, affiliated with Lucknow University. The first principal, Miss Beena Dutta, helped it grow into a well-known college. Many famous people, like Dr. Radha Kumud Mukherjee and Shri A.C. Banerjee, supported its development. It was later renamed A.P. Sen Memorial Girls College in honor of Shri Atul Prasad Sen, a respected advocate, poet, and social worker who wrote 263 songs and helped many educational institutions with financial support.
