Siddharth University was founded on 17 June 2015 and is affiliated with colleges previously affiliated with Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University and Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Avadh University. There are 273 colleges at Kapilvastu University situated in 6 districts including Maharajganjh, Sidharth Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Balram, Basti, and Shravasti. Colleges like these offer a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs.
