Himachal Pradesh University Distance Education: It was founded in 1970 by the Himachal Pradesh University International Center for Foreign and Open Learning (ICDEOL). The 1971 Correspondence Courses Directorate at this University. Summer Hill, a suburb in the western end of Shimla, 5 Km from the main city, is located in the University of H.P. The ICDEOL complex is a 5-minute walk to Shimla Railway Station. For candidates who cannot attend regular classes, ICDEOL is a centre of distance learning. The University of Himachal Pradesh is located in a summer mountain and Distance University of Himachal-Pradesh.
