• You must have passed the intermediate exam or 10+2 from a recognized institute.
• If you want to get a diploma from this University then you must have passed the 10th class from a recognized board with a grade not less than 5.0

For Dr. YSR Horticultural University B.Sc. (Hons.) HORTICULTURE COURSE admission:

A pass in the two-year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh, or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Board of Intermediate Education with the following subjects namely:

i) Physical Sciences
ii) Biological or Natural Sciences

For PG Course

The following are the eligibility criteria for those students who are looking forward to taking admission to PG programs.

M.Sc.

• You must have passed your 10+2 from a recognized University
• You must hold a bachelor’s degree from a recognized institute

PhD

If you are looking forward to taking admission in the Ph.D. program then you must have completed your post-graduation from a recognized University. Your admission will be done based on the following percentage:

• Based on  Your academic record in M.Sc. (Hort) – 30% will be counted
• Based on Your academic record of B.Sc. (Hort) – 10% will be counted
• Based on your performance in the entrance test- 50% will be counted
• Based on your Interview-10% will be counted

YSR Horticultural University Entrance Exam

YSRHU offers a full-time B.Sc (Horticulture) course in the university department and its affiliated colleges 10+2 or Diploma passed candidates can apply for admission. Candidates will be selected based on AP EAMCET/ AIEEA (for 15% of seats) / HORTICET (for 15% of seats for Diploma holders). In admission through AP EAMCET, Candidates have to secure a minimum of 25% marks in AP EAMCET while there are no minimum criteria for reserve categories.
