VJTI Mumbai Admission: VJTI Mumbai, founded in 1887 as the Victoria Jubilee Technical Institute, has been a leading institution in engineering education and research in India. In 1997, it was renamed Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute to honor the mother of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj.
