Vivekanand Commerce College Admission: The college was started in 1970 in Gandhi Nagar by the Delhi government with help from the UGC to give women in the Trans-Yamuna area better opportunities for higher education. It began in a school building with about 300 students in the B.A. (Pass) course. The foundation stone of its own building was laid in 1976 and the building was opened in 1979. Over time, more students joined because of the courses offered, and today it is one of the most popular colleges for girls in that area.
