T.D. Medical College Admission: Welcome to Alappuzha, fondly known as the Venice of the East, a charming coastal district in Kerala famous for its scenic backwaters, lush green paddy fields, and rich cultural heritage. In addition to being a popular tourist destination, Alappuzha is also known for its contribution to healthcare and education through the Government TD Medical College, a respected institution that serves people from Alappuzha and nearby districts. The college began its first MBBS batch in August 1963 with 50 students. Later, the Kerala government upgraded the district hospital and handed it over to the college for use as a teaching hospital, formalized through Government Order No. G.O.(MS).263/73/HD dated 23rd October 1973.
