SVPUAT College of Biotechnology, Admission: Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel University of Agriculture and Technology was established on 2nd October 2000 and is known as the “First Agricultural University of the 21st Century.” The College of Biotechnology, started in 2004, offers a four-year B.Tech. course, and later introduced M.Tech./M.Sc. in 2007 and Ph.D. in 2021. Initially with 8 departments, it now has three main divisions—Plant Biotechnology, Animal Biotechnology, and Environmental and Microbial Biotechnology—along with a Bioinformatics Section. All divisions have UG and PG labs, and a central facility with modern equipment supports advanced research.
