SMGACW Tamilnadu Admission: Sri Meenakshi Government College for Women was started in 1965 in Madurai by the Tamil Nadu government to support women’s education. It began with pre-university courses for 320 students and soon added undergraduate and postgraduate courses in subjects like Tamil, Economics, Mathematics, Chemistry, Geography, English, History, Physics, and more. Over the years, many new courses such as Computer Science, Environmental Science, and Commerce were introduced. Today, the college offers 15 undergraduate and 15 postgraduate programs to nearly 2,894 women students every year. It has a large library, science labs, classrooms, and all the needed facilities to help students learn and grow.
