Sri Kanyaka Parameswari Arts and Science College for Women was founded in 1999 by the Committee of Management S.K.P.D & Charities to promote women’s education. The foundation stone of the college building was laid by Mr. K. Anbhazhagan, the Education Minister at the time, who also attended the opening ceremony. The college is located in a busy commercial area in Chennai. The management of the college strongly believes in Indian traditions and aims to develop the personalities of young women by teaching values such as compassion, tolerance, care, and love. They focus on motivating students through the 3 P's: Perseverance, Performance, and Progress. Today, the college has 115 staff members, 1824 students, and offers 12 undergraduate programs, 3 postgraduate programs, and full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs in Commerce. With 25 years of experience, the college has helped 562 students achieve University Top Ten Ranks. The college is affiliated with the University of Madras and follows its CBCS (Choice Based Credit System) curriculum to improve students' knowledge in various subjects. It is also reaccredited by NAAC, ISO certified, and recognized as a Linguistic Telugu Minority institution.
