Silver Jubilee College of Arts, Admission: Silver Jubilee Government College was established in 1972, during the 25th anniversary of India's independence. It was started by Sri P. V. Narasimha Rao, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh at the time, to bring people from different parts of the state together during a period of growing division. He chose Sri M. V. Rajagopal, an education expert and I.A.S. officer, to lead the project. Rajagopal believed in giving top-quality education to deserving students, regardless of their financial background. His dream of creating a world-class institution like Cambridge University became the foundation of this college.
