SLBSRSV, Delhi, Admission: The Akhil Bharatiya Sanskrit Sahitya Sammelan started a Sanskrit Vidyapeetha (university) in Delhi on Vijaya Dashami, October 8, 1962. Dr. Mandan Mishra was made the Director. Later, a separate society was formed with Prime Minister Lal Bahadur Shastri as its first President. His guidance helped the institution grow, and he wished to make it an international center for Sanskrit learning.
