SNVMV, Hyderabad, Admission: Sarojini Naidu Vanita Maha Vidyalaya started in 1957 as a small college called UWCA. In 1961, it was taken over by the Osmania Graduates’ Association. It was renamed Vanita Maha Vidyalaya in 1962 and became part of Osmania University, offering Pre-University Courses. By 1964, it began providing undergraduate courses in Arts and Science and adopted the motto “Vidya Vinayena Shobhate,” meaning “Humility adds beauty to education.” In 1969, the famous freedom fighter Khan Abdul Gaffer Khan, also known as 'Frontier Gandhi,' laid the foundation stone for the college’s main building.
