PTS, Dehradun, Admission: The Presbyterian Theological Seminary (PTS) was started in 1969 to train people who believe in the Bible and the Reformed faith to become pastors, teachers, and church leaders. It began with just seven students in Roorkee, which was then part of Uttar Pradesh. In 1978, it moved to Dehradun, where it is still located today. The seminary was created by two Christian groups — the North India Presbytery of the Bible Presbyterian Church and the Saharanpur Presbytery of the Reformed Presbyterian Church, who later joined together as one church group.
