NGM College (Autonomous),Coimbatore Admission: Nallamuthu Gounder Mahalingam College has been providing quality education for over 60 years. It started in 1957 as a Pre-University college with 160 students and later became a Degree College in 1959. In 1975, it introduced co-education, and from 1976, all courses followed a semester system. By 1979, the college began offering postgraduate programs and became a well-known institution. It was set up by Pollachi Kalvi Kazhagam with the help of leaders like S.P. Nallamuthu Gounder and Dr. N. Mahalingam, and supported by former Finance Minister C. Subramaniam.
