NDUAT College of Fisheries, Admission: Narendra Dev University of Agriculture & Technology was started on January 15, 1974, when the then Prime Minister Indira Gandhi laid its foundation stone in Mashodha near Faizabad. At first, it operated from a school building in Faizabad under its first Vice-Chancellor, A.D. Pandey, and Registrar, R.P. Chandola. Later, the main campus was shifted to Kumarganj. In 1976, research facilities from Mashodha and Kanpur were added to the university to help start research work. Dr. Kirti Singh became the first Dean of Agriculture in 1977, and 20 new departments were created in the College of Agriculture that same year.
