Mithibai College of Arts, Admission: Mithibai College of Arts and Chauhan Institute of Science was started in 1961 by Shri Vile Parle Kelvani Mandal to provide higher education in Mumbai’s western suburbs. Later, in 1981, Amrutben Jivanlal College of Commerce & Economics was added to meet the rising demand. The college, which supports the Gujarati-speaking community as a linguistic minority, has grown from a small two-storey building to a large nine-storey campus in Juhu. It now has 22 departments across Arts, Science, and Commerce, offers 16 postgraduate programs, and has 10 research centers for Ph.D. studies. The college has received national grants for its academic development.
