MVCE, New Delhi, Admission: Maharshi Valmiki College of Education, started in 1995 by the Delhi government, is part of the University of Delhi and trains students to become school teachers. It began with 38 students and was first called the College of Education before being renamed in 1997 to honor the great teacher Valmiki. The college moved to its current campus in Geeta Colony in 2003 and admits students through a common entrance test. It celebrates Udbhav Diwas on 21 September and Foundation Day on 16 November every year. For over 20 years, the college has focused on giving quality education and preparing students to become caring and skilled teachers, with many graduates now working in schools and universities across India and abroad.
